At the same time, it is also used to feed a CO2 controller, so that carbon dioxide is released according to the amount of CO2 actually needed, maintaining optimum levels at all times. The built-in light sensor also allows the system to know when the lights are off, ensuring that CO2 is only released when it is needed for the photosynthesis process.

How the Dimlux CO2 sensor works:
The Dimlux CO2 sensor detects carbon dioxide levels in the surrounding atmosphere and reports the information to the Dimlux Maxi Controller (available separately).
This system ensures that optimal levels are distributed at all times, minimising waste and maximising plant growth. The CO2 sensor also automatically switches off CO2 distribution during the hours of darkness, thanks to the integrated light cell.
CO2 integration is an absolute must in closed-loop environments, where air is not drawn in from outside. The results are simply impressive!
How to use the Dimlux CO2 sensor:
The Dimlux CO2 sensor should be hung in the growing area at the same height as your plants. Make sure that the light cell is exposed to light, otherwise it will not switch off automatically during the hours of darkness. The CO2 sensor has an integrated socket on the back of the unit so that it can be connected to a power socket. We recommend purchasing a separate extension cable so that the sensor can be placed in a suitable spot.
The socket on the front of the sensor is used to power a CO2 regulator (available separately) such as a gas burner or solenoid valve. The regulator can be connected to a CO2 cylinder, releasing the gas whenever necessary via the solenoid valve.
The sensor can be calibrated using the Maxi Controller. Outdoor CO2 levels are around 400 ppm. By placing the sensor in an outdoor area and taking a reading, you can see how close the sensor can detect the correct level (400 ppm). If the sensor detects levels above or below the correct ppm level, the reading can be changed, thus calibrating the system.
